Books are fading away
That’s what they say.
The paper
Moldering stacks,
Where thoughts
Crouch, waiting, ready to skim
On poor kids
Pouring through an afternoon rain.
The sun retreats like the resources.
The sage librarians
Are left to wander in
Ravelled robes
And beat breasts bawling
In tattered voices
‘Look at what your education has bought you…
Nothing,
It has bought you nothing!’
